1. Understand that phobias are not your fault. You did nothing to cause your phobia. Sometimes phobias just pop up, and sometimes they stick around for years. You might have a gene that became activated (anyone in your family with a similar fear?) or you might simply have had bad luck.
2. Determine what your phobia is.
There are many kinds of phobias, and treatment can vary depending on the type you are experiencing. Before your phobia can be treated, please figure out what you are really afraid of. Some of the more

3. Find an experienced professional who is skilled in phobia elimination.
